I’ve heard the stories
Of long ago campfires
All would gather to share
Food, drink, and many tales
Where have the campfires gone
Many would tell their story
Dancing there would be
Much serious talk
And laughter you’d hear
Where have the campfires gone
Stories of mysteries, of gloom
Tales of bad things, many good
Warriors told of their battles
Tales of many days hunt for food
Where have the campfires gone

The people to gather there
To tell the stories of the past
The stories of now, for our future

We need the stories of old
And the stories of now
Each person was a teacher
Their story a lesson
